Relocating to Cuenca Ecuador Information.
The laws of Ecuador change often and without notice so you will need to check for any changes to the law.

Residency Visa Information (Pension Visa) Documents needed for a pension visa.
1) A letter from your pension provider stating the total amount of your monthly pension. You will need to prove minimum $800 a month income, if you have dependents you need to prove an additonal $100 a month for each dependent.This letter must be signed by you and notarized. You then will have to send the letter to a Ecuadorian Embassy. The Embassy in Washington DC is very helpful with any questions you have. They perfer you ship your documents DHL, do not ship UPS. 2) If you are married you will need your marriage license and have your marriage license appostille by the state that it was issued in.
